This course takes a practical approach to convey the techniques in Hatha Yoga in a clear and precise way. Using a multi media presentation, participants will be guided through an experience of how the body actually works in posture practice. This will help to understand what the body is and isn’t capable of and why. As we develop our knowledge of human anatomy, we become better practitioners and teachers of yoga.
The active practice will utilize a variety of postures basic, intermediate, and advanced. The key instruction will not exist so much in “how to do” the posture, but will be focused on “how to feel” the posture. This will awaken the students insight into actual goals and benefits in yoga, physical and energetic.
A variety of Workshops & Immersion trainings are available in Traditional Ashtanga. These courses include a detailed overview of alignment through experiential anatomy & adjustments, breath work, concentration, relaxation, & meditation. In addition, students will learn the precise vinyasa method as taught in Mysore, India. Workshops and Immersions are offered in Primary Series, Intermediate Series, & Mysore Style.
